February Writing Challenge: Day 4
Write a Letter to Your Future Self
Dear Future Esther,
What’s up? How far in the future are you? Are you like in your 30’s? 40’s? Super old?
The main thing I hope for you is that you’re happy. I hope you’re loved and I hope you are loving with an open heart. I hope you’re not scared of everything anymore, I hope you’ve taken chances and done things that I could be proud of. I hope you’re healthy and I hope everyone around you is as well.
You know we deserve all the happiness in the world, and we can achieve it if we just start working for it. You are the only thing holding yourself back, I really hope you moved past that. I hope I can start that process now for you.
I hope you look back at this period of our life with fondness. I hope you smile when you remember all the things that happened, and don’t mourn all the losses. I hope you learn to let go of the things you can’t change.
Maybe you have a family and a great husband, maybe you don’t. But as long as you’re happy, really truly happy, than that’s fine.
Also, if this is Esther tomorrow, I hope this headache goes away for you.
Love,
Me/You.
